Acceptance Services

1stJet.com will provide you with the most perfect jet possible. We have seasoned aircraft brokers that were formally Demo pilots & pre-delivery aircraft inspectors for the major manufactures who will stand by your side of the transaction representing your interests.  From light jet aircraft acceptance inspections through BBJ’s, we have expertise with a proven thorough process to provide you with the greatest possible peace of mind.

The acceptance process is broken up into 5 Services:

1. Pre-delivery Service
There can be numerous & sometimes complex steps a buyer to take prior to taking delivery of their jet. From post-delivery product support programs to FAA Reduced Vertical Separation Minima (RVSM) approval, many checklist items must be in place prior to delivery, 1stJet.com will be at your side helping all the way! You don’t have to go down this path alone. We help owners transition to their new jets & can help you avoid both the common & not so common pitfalls.

2. Delivery day flight test Service
The delivery day flight test will be completed by one of 1stJet.com’s expert designated test pilots. All of our designated test pilots hold extensive engineering & technical backgrounds.

The typical 1stJet.com acceptance test flight is comprised of approximately 21 pages of checklist items. The flight is broken up into handling qualities, systems evaluation, & performance validation components.

3. Aircraft performance validation Service
One of the most important parts of the acceptance flight is to ensure that the Buyer’s jet is doing everything it has been advertised to do. During your acceptance flight, your 1stJet.com designated test pilot will use a methodical series of tests to verify that your jet meets or exceeds aircraft performance as listed in the Airplane Flight Manual (AFM). The tests include performance tests for takeoff, climb, cruise, & landing. Depending on the phase of flight, we have created a method to systematically evaluate true aircraft performance against the performance outlined in the AFM.

4. Aircraft systems validation Service
Your jet is a wonderfully complex machine that takes up to 5 months to build with hundreds of components that must work in harmoniously together to safely transport you & your passengers. There are a few times when mechanical systems typically fail: When they are brand new, when they are really old, or after they have been recently maintained.

As a result, we have developed a battery of system tests to ensure that your aircraft is 100% functional the day it flies from the factory. You’d be surprised how often we find things that are not working properly on a new aircraft.

We test each aircraft system a number of ways. Below are a few examples of tests that we do for each main aircraft system:

Engines – Outside of normal engine operation during the test flight, engine bodes (high speed, rapid power cycles to & from prescribed power settings) & slams (high speed, rapid power applications from idle to max & from max to idle) at various altitudes throughout the flight envelope are completed to test engine control, response, & performance.

Electrical – Worst case engine starting conditions are introduced to test aircraft electrical components during start. In addition, proper electrical generation & emergency modes are tested to verify system operation with acceptable limits.

Flight Controls – Primary & secondary flight controls are activated & evaluated at each end of the operating envelope. From VMO/MMO to 1.3 x Vso – all speed regimes are investigated with thorough use of all flight control systems.

Ice Protection – All ice protection systems are tested. Proper de-ice boot inflation. Fuel system – Fuel gauging, motive flow, electric pumps, & cross-feed capability are all checked. Normal fuel pressures are verified.

Hydraulic & Braking System – Normal hydraulic system operation is checked including pump operation, overheat protection, accumulator functionality, & operation of all actuators. The landing gear is cycled at maximum operating speeds to confirm normal operation & proper

handling qualities. A maximum effort braking evaluation is made on landing.

Aircraft Handling Qualities Analysis – Believe it or not, airplanes are still hand made. Each one is different. We put each aircraft through complete handling qualities evaluations to confirm that the aerodynamics are normal with no strange qualities at any corner of the flight envelope. Stick force & aircraft response to flight control inputs are evaluated.

Avionics – All navigation capability, communications radios, transponders, & autopilot functions are fully vetted.

Climate Control & Pressurization – Air source selectors are cycled at altitude to induce single source pressurization for extended periods of time. Flow Control Valve, Pressure Regulating Shutoff Valves, & Outflow Valves are all tested. Cabin dump is also tested to ensure proper system operation. Proper air temperature & flow through all cabin vents is verified.

5. Delivery day technical inspection Services

The technical inspection, which takes place on the ground, covers over 1000 items on the airplane. Our paint inspection reveals many types of flaws including scratches, nipples, overspray, orange peel, & dull areas. In many cases, we have had entire aircraft wings & fuselages completely repainted due to deficiencies in the original paint.

Our interior inspection reveals marks & soiling of materials, misplaced insulation, & misaligned panels. Systems validation not possible in flight is conducted on the ground, together with a structural appraisal of key components.

We have never had a Client tell us they regretted having 1stJet.com along for their acceptance. In fact, we’ve heard the opposite. See what our Clients have been saying about us.
